Rollo M. Allen, lifetime farmer, former County Supervisor and descendant of a pioneer Washington County family, died Thursday, November 27th. He had become ill and the Blair Rescue Squad was tkaing him to the hospital in Blair when death came.

The deceased was 67 years of age, having been born in the Allen vicinity ten miles southeast of Blair. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Allen. His birth date was September 30, 1908.

He grew up on the farm and followed farming as his livelihood throughout his entire life. In the fall of 1942 he was elected a Washington County Supervisor, a post which he filled for two terms.

His wife passed away in 1967 and since her death he has lived alone on the family farm south of Blair.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Allen, of Millard and David, of Omaha. There are eight grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Gertrude Merritt of Elkhorn, John Allen, of Omaha and Mac Allen of blair. Two brothers, Walter and William L. preceded him in death. A sister, Odile, has also died.

He was a member and a Past Master of Solomon Lodge NO. 10, A.F. & A.M. of Ft. Calhoun.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian Church, Rev. Lynn Williams conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Sievers Mortuary, was made in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.

Pallbearers were all nephews: Gerald Allen, Chauncey Allen, Bob Allen, Scott Allen, Lyle Christensen and Russell Christensen.
