MRS. AUGUST RATHMANN RITES SUNDAY

Another old settler, Mrs. August Rathmann, passed away Wednesday at 4:20 p.m. at the Crowell Memorial Home where she had been a guest for some time. Her health had been gradually failing for several years, and five weeks ago she became bedfast and death resulted.

Deceased was born July 20, 1866 in Davenport, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soll, and when about three years of age she came with her parents to this county.

On April 17, 1884 she was married and a family of six children was born to them - four daughters and two sons. The sons died in childhood. The daughters are Mrs. R. C. Cook of Sioux City; Mrs. D. C. Fratt and Mrs. Helen Richardson of Los Angeles and Mrs. William Linden of Blair. The husband died several years ago.

Besides the immediate family, two sisters and one brother, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren survive and mourn their great loss.

Funeral services with Mrs. Derelle Barber, local pastor of the Congregational church officiating, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational church, and interment, under the supervision of C. K. Bendorf, will be made in the Blair cemetery.
