LAURA ROSE EARWOOD

Laura Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Rose, was born in Gallia County, Ohio December 25th, 1862. She passed away April 24, 1942 at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 29 days.

She was married to Albert Earwood April 3, 1883, and to this union seven children were born, one son dying in infancy. She is survived by three sons, Herbert of Rockford, Illinois; Thomas of Blair; Bert of Modale, Iowa; and three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Murrow, Missouri Valley, Iowa; Mrs. May Small, Blair; and Mrs. Noma Mahoney of Pomona, California. There are twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, also two sisters and three brothers survive.

Mr. and Mrs. Earwood spent their early married life in Ohio, then they came to Iowa, later moving to Nebraska. They lived here until nine years ago when Mr. Earwood passed away. Since then she has made her home with her children.

Funeral services, under the direction of J. E. Campbell and with Rev. Brooks of the Methodist church officiating, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
