A. E. ANDERSON DIES HERE

Archie E. Anderson, former Blairite and well known to many here, passed away early last Tuesday morning at the home of his brother Cyrus Anderson in north Blair. He had suffered from acute stomach trouble for more than thirty days.

Anderson was born at Shelby, Iowa October 14, 1884, thereby being 58 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Blair with his parents at an early age and grew to manhood in this vicinity. For a number of years he was employed as a clerk in Blair stores, having been employed by the late Fred Mueller, P.Z. Wilson and at the J. L. Pounds clothing store. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Blair and also the Odd Fellows lodge.

About 20 years ago he moved to Florence where he purchased an acreage. He has made his home there since that time and was employed by an Omaha grocery chain at the time of his death.

The deceased was never married. Surviving relatives are two brothers, Cyrus of Blair, Clarence of Omaha, a sister, Mrs. Roy Learning of Florence and his father, Cyrus E. Anderson who had made his home with Archie at Florence.

Services are being held today at the Methodist Church in Blair, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery. Odd Fellows of the Florence lodge will have charge of services at the grave, and Rev. Lick of the United Brethren Church of Florence will conduct the services. Bendorf Service has charge of the burial.
