MRS. JOHN WILLARD BURIED IN BLAIR

Funeral services for Mrs. John Willard of Sauk Center, Minnesota, formerly of Blair, were held at Bendorf Funeral Home at two o’clock Saturday afternoon; burial was made in the Blair cemetery. Rev. D. D. Kennedy, pastor of the Blair Baptist Church officiated.

As Ella Hudleson, the deceased was born near Orleans, Indiana on October 19, 1880. She came to Blair with her parents when two years of age and resided with them in Dexterville until 1919 when she was married to J. D. Willard of Sauk Centre, Minnesota. She died at Sauk Centre on August 19, 1942 at the age of 61. Survivors include a brother, Henry of Paoli, Indiana, the husband, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Willard Passed Away From Stroke

Funeral Services Held At Blair, Nebraska, Saturday, August 22nd

Mrs. Lucy Ellen Willard, resident of Kandota Township, passed away at the Long hospital in this city on August 19th. She had been ill for a week, following a stroke which she suffered in the Red Owl Store in this city a week before death.

Mrs. Willard was born October 19, 1880, at Orleans, Indiana, and was 61 years and eleven months old. When she was two years old, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Hudleson, went to Blair, Nebraska, in a covered wagon. They resided there until October 19, 1919, when she was united in marriage to John D. Willard, of Marshall, Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Willard resided at Marshall until 1926, when they came to Sauk Centre, and purchased a farm in Kandota Township, Todd County, where they resided for fourteen years, when they gave up farming.

Surviving relatives are the husband, a brother and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at Blair, Nebraska, her old home, on Saturday, August 22, at 2 o’clock. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.
