C. E. ANDERSON, 84, BURIED HERE SUN.

Cyrus E. Anderson, who celebrated his 84th birthday last June, died on Friday, October 2. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church on Sunday with Rev. John P. Brooks officiating, and interment was made in Blair cemetery. Members of the Odd Fellows lodge of Blair, of which Mr. Anderson was a member, acted as pallbearers.

The deceased was born at Iowa city, Iowa on June 19, 1858, and there he grew to manhood. On February 22, 1882, he was married to Mary Jane Metzinger. The couple lived in Iowa until 1901 when they came to Nebraska.

Mrs. Anderson’s death occurred on February 23, 1938. Of their five children, three survive; they are Clarence and Maza Merle Leaming of Omaha and Cyrus of Blair. Fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also are left to mourn, besides other relatives and many friends. Two sons, Archie and Robert, preceded their father in death.

Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
