#2 HARRY “JACK” ROWER, 88

Harry R. “Jack” Rohwer, 88, of Blair died Monday, April 20, 1998, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Rohwer was born June 9, 1909 in Washington County to Carl and Mary (Hendricksen) Rohwer. He attended Wranch School in southern Washington county. On July 17, 1935, he married Viola Puls at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha. They farmed for 50 years in southern Washington County before moving to Blair in 1990. He moved into the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in August 1997.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Judy Rohwer of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Deloras and Larry Fifer of Commerce City, Colo.; ten grandchildren, Alan Rohwer, Angelia Rohwer, Duane Fifer, Brian Fifer, Danelle Fifer, Tom Schuller, Doug Schuller and Eric Schuller and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola on June 3, 1993; his parents; sisters, Ann, Kate and Minnie; and brothers, Clause, Henry, Carl and John.

Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
