SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. GEO. SCHMIDT, 45

Funeral services for Mrs. George Schmidt of Arlington, who died in a Fremont hospital on Wednesday evening, November 12, were held Sunday, November 16, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev. G. W. Wolter officiated.

The choir of East St. Paul’s sang; pallbearers were nephews of the deceased woman - Gilbert, Harry, Floyd and Melvin Stork, Albert Dunklau and Orvin Kuhls.

Mrs. Schmidt, as Mathilda Stork, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Casper C. Stork, was born in the Arlington vicinity on April 15, 1874; she grew to womanhood there, and on December 4, 1895 she was married to George Schmidt.

Besides the husband, survivors are two sons, Harry and Leo, and a daughter, Mrs. Adella Just, all of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Kuhls and Mrs. August Dunklau; seven brothers, Frank and Henry of Herman, Rudolph of Fontanelle, Julius of Craig, Gustav of Hooper, Albert and Martin Stork of Arlington; four grandchildren, Harlan, Benita and Ione Just and June Schmidt. Three sisters preceded her in death.

Among the relatives coming from a distance to attend Mrs. Schmidt’s funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Echtenkamp, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Holdorf of Wakefield; Mrs. Alvina Echtenkamp of Wayne; William Stork and Mrs. George Munderloh, both of Wisner.
