GEORGE MORGAN RITES TUESDAY

Prominent Farmer Passes After Months of Illness Sunday A.M.

George Morgan, who for the past twenty seven years has farmed on the bottom north of Blair, passed away Sunday morning at his home after an illness of several months.

Deceased was born near Farragut, Iowa where he grew to manhood. At his death he was just past sixty years of age. He was twice married. By the first marriage five children were born, all of whom are living.

About seven years ago he was married to Clara Elizabeth Seefus, and the marriage was a happy one. George was a good neighbor and a good citizen and during the time he has resided here he has made a host of friends who will grieve with the family over his death.

He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Masonic Order, and at the funeral, which was held from the Bendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, the Masons took charge. At the Blair cemetery they also gave the impressive Masonic burial ceremony.

Besides the bereaved wife and children, he leaves a sister, Mrs. George Fiel and a brother, Wallace Morgan of Iowa.
