SOREN LARSEN, 89, DIES IN OMAHA

Soren Larsen, a former Blair resident, died at the home of his son, Fritz Larsen of Omaha at 11:00 p.m. November 2, last Sunday.

Had he lived until January 11, he would have been ninety years of age. He was born in Denmark on January 11, 1852, and came to America in April of 1904, settling first in Omaha and coming to Blair in September of 1904.

From 1904 until about fifteen years ago, he was employed at the Danish Lutheran Publishing House. He was married before leaving the mother country on October 28, 1881. The wife passed away last January and four children are left to mourn the death of a highly respected parent. These children are L. C. Larsen, Junction City, Oregon; Mrs. Marie Espersen, Dannebrog, Nebraska; Mrs. Martin Paulsen, Blair; and Fritz of Omaha. Nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Larsen was a member of the First Lutheran church. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Paulsen and later at the First Lutheran church with Rev. Harold C. Jorgensen officiating, and interment under the supervision of C. K. Bendorf, mortician, was made in the Blair cemetery.
