MRS. C. MILLER BURIED HERE SAT.

Mrs. Christoffer Miller, who arrived in Washington County to make her home nearly forty seven years ago, died Thursday, September 11, at the home of her son, Leo A. Miller of Blair. Funeral services were held Saturday at Campbell’s Mortuary, with Rev. Harold C. Jorgensen of First Lutheran Church in charge, and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

As Louisa Fredericka Andersen, Mrs. Miller was born in Jutland, Denmark on June 27, 1876. She came to America in 1893 at the age of seventeen, and the following December she became the bride of Christoffer Miller. They settled immediately on a farm near Blair where they resided until 1935 when they retired and moved into town. Mr. Miller died in March, 1939.

Although only sixty five years of age at the time of her death, Mrs. Miller is survived by forty direct descendants. Eight children who mourn their mother’s passing are Leo, Lawrence, Mrs. Rolland Richter and Mrs. Walter Andersen of Blair; Johannes of Spiker; Mrs. Hans Andersen of Decatur; Carl of Omaha; and Mrs. Bert Spanton of Fremont.
