ARTHUR BAKER-FORMER BLAIRITE-JANUARY 15

Word was received in Blair of the death of Arthur Baker, 68 years, of Cotopaxi, Colo. at Kearney, Nebraska, January 15.

Mr. Baker was a former Blair resident and had been a section foreman on the Chicago Northwestern Railroad while in Blair. In Colorado he had been a Roadmaster for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad until his retirement in January 1, 1966.

Mr. and Mrs. Baker had been visiting Nebraska relatives since before Christmas. Two weeks ago they had been visiting in Blair. They were in route home and were visiting the Russell Jensen home when Mr. Baker suffered a heart attack.

Services were held at Kearney, Nebraska, Saturday, January 18 at 10 o'clock with Masonic graveside rites and burial at Arnold, Nebraska.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Mollie, three sons, Robert and Arthur Jr. of Omaha and James of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and two daughters, Mrs. Tracy (Anita Jane) Stuart of Westminster, Colorado, and Mrs. T. L. (Corrine) de Jarnette of Las Vegas, Nevada. There are fourteen grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.

Two brothers survive. They are Alfred of Arlington, Nebraska, and Alvin of Pueblo, Colorado, and two sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Margaret) Stolley and Mrs. Guy (Charlotte) Stricklett of Blair.
