FORMER BLAIR WOMAN DEAD

Miss Emma Meservey died at Windstorm Inn at Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15th, at the age of 76 years. She was born in Maine.

She came to Nebraska when a year old and grew to maturity in this vicinity. She taught school in Hooper in 1883, and began a long service of teaching in Fremont in 1893, serving as principal of Fremont’s North school for twenty years.

She ran for state representative and served as regent for the Fremont D.A.R. chapter. She is survived by Dr. E. A. Meservey of California, Mrs. Julie Windstorm of Fremont and Miss Edna Davis (a half sister) of Lincoln.
