RETIRED ARLINGTON FARMER DEAD

William F. Unland, well known retired Arlington farmer, died shortly before midnight Sunday evening as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Unland had finished his evening meal when he was stricken and rushed to the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont where he died a few hours later.

Funeral services were conducted at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon, July 1, at the Methodist church of Arlington by Rev. David Simpson. The funeral arrangements were in charge of W. A. Reckmeyer and Son.

Mr. Unland was one of a family of ten sons of the late Mr. and Mrs. George F. Unland, prominent pioneer settlers in the Arlington vicinity. He was born on the Unland farm west of Arlington, and spent his entire lifetime in that section of the county.

Survivors, besides the widow, include a daughter, Mrs. Merritt McClellan of Denver, Colorado; and six brothers, Albert, Ed, Emil, Dr. Howard, and Roscoe, all of Los Angeles, California; and Julius of Texas.
