REV. THOS. PARKIN VICTIM OF CANCER

Rev. Thomas Parkin of St. Paul, Nebraska, a former pastor of the Arlington Methodist church, died Saturday, June 21, in an Omaha hospital. Services were held Tuesday afternoon, June 24, at the St. Paul Methodist church. Interment was made in the Ong cemetery with 21 members of the St. Paul Legion Post paying final military honors at the grave; around twenty ministers from all parts of Nebraska were in attendance at the services, acting as honorary pallbearers.

Rev. Parkin, only 49 years of age at his death, passed away as the result of a cancerous obstruction of the stomach. He had held charges in Nebraska since 1917, had been a member of the American Legion for twenty years, and was also a Master Mason.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Thomas, Jr., and John Bell; a daughter, Georgina, all of St. Paul; a brother, Rev. George B. Parkin of Washington court, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Wetton, Miss Georgina Parkin and Mrs. T. E. Stephenson, all of Omaha.
