Former Blairite Died In Denver

A former Blair resident, Mrs. Christina Ann Baker, 87 years of age, died Friday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Irvin Stolley, Denver, Colorado. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Campbell Mortuary. Burial is to be in the German Cemetery, Bennington, Nebraska.

Mrs. Baker is survived by five children, Mrs. Irvin Stolley, (Margaret), Mrs. Guy Stricklett (Charlotte) of Blair, Alfred, of Arlington, Arthur of Durango, Colorado, and Alvin of Pueblo, Colorado. A sister, Mrs. Viola Treece, lives in Onawa, Iowa. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Baker, the former Christina Ann Kisling was born October 1, 1875, at Castana, Iowa*(Ohio), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kisling. She married Oscar Baker July 28,*(26) 1892. To this union seven children were born. Preceding her in death were her husband Oscar, who died in April 1936 *(1938), a son, Otto, a daughter, Ledocia.

She had lived in Blair for thirty one years. The past four years, she has made her home in Colorado.
