DROWNING VICTIM FOUND NEAR IOWA SUNDAY

Harmon Snyder, River Foreman, Found Near Place of Drowning

The body of Harmon Snyder, who was drowned last week, was found Sunday morning at about 9:30 o’clock near the Michaelsen Bend on the Iowa side of the river.

When the body was found, a call was immediately made for Sheriff McDonald. McDonald, having been away from his office for several days (rumor has it in Minnesota on a fishing trip), the call was answered by Deputy Olson, who with Assistance, rescued the body.

The body was taken in charge by J. E. Campbell, mortician, and interment was made the same day in the Tekamah cemetery.

Snyder was in the employ of a river contracting firm. He was assisting in covering a barge load of dirt with a canvas when a heavy gust of wind threw him into the river.

He leaves a wife an two small children.
