FORMER COUNTIAN DIES IN UTAH

County friends received word early this week of the death of George Tookey in a Salt Lake City, Utah hospital last Sunday, following an operation. He had reached his 66th birthday in October.

Born in Chicago, Tookey came to Washington county with his parents while still a baby, settling near Sutherland school. There he grew to young manhood with his eight brothers and sisters. Later the family moved to Hooper, then to Iowa, and finally Tookey, with his own family, settled in Clifton, Colorado.

Surviving are the widow, two sons and a grandson, five sisters and three brothers.
