MRS. ALBERT KING DIES OF STROKE

Death came to Mrs. Albert King of the Herman vicinity on January 8, following a paralytic stroke the preceding Thursday. Funeral services were held at the home northeast of Herman at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and at the Methodist church at Tekamah at 2:00, with Rev. A. W. Clarke of Herman officiating; burial was in the Herman cemetery.

As Mary Leota Baker, Mrs. King was born on a farm near Tekamah on August 11, 1875, and thus was 65 years, 4 months and 29 days of age when she died. In December, 1893 she was married to Albert King of Blair and five children were born to them, four of whom survive with the husband. They are Joshua and Mrs. Martha Modlin of Tekamah; and Floyd and Elzy of Herman. Others who remain to mourn Mrs. Baker’s death are a sister, Mrs. Geneva Morton of Herman; two brothers, Harry of Blair and Jake of Herman; and twenty four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
