JACOBSEN SERVICES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held last Wednesday, October 31st, for Jack B. Jacobsen, 64, who passed away on October 28th. Mr. Jacobsen, who lived east of Fort Calhoun, was found by his wife and a neighbor unconscious in his boat. He had been fishing. The Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad was called and he was pronounced dead at the Immanuel Hospital.

Services were held at John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel, with Reverend Charles Anderson and Reverend Stephen F. Pitts officiating. Masonic services were conducted by Lloyd K. (Bud) Johnson, Worshipful Master of John J. Mercer Lodge 290 AF & AM. Pallbearers were Robert Caruso, Joseph Grabowski, James O'Dell, Donald (Skip) Hempel, Ralph O. Smith, and John Jacobsen. Honorary Pallbearers were the Motor "B" Patrol.

Mr. Jacobsen was a mnember of Tangier Shrine Motor "B" Patrol, the Danish Brotherhood No. 195, VFW No. 2503, Scottish Rite, John J. Mercer Lodge No. 290 AF & AM, and Past President of Central States CSASMC.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Fort Calhoun; son and daughter-in-law, Jack Jr. (Rick) and Nancy of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law Douglas and Lynette Caldwell of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Kimberly Jacobsen, Jeffrey, Kristy Lyn and Carey Ann Caldwell; sister, Naomi Tramp of Blythe, California; and brother Eugene Jacobsen of Omaha.

Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery, and memorials go to the Tangier Shrine Transportation Fund, the Diabetes Association and the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad.
