HARRY PLATZ BURIED MONDAY

Blair High Graduate of 1888; Clay County Treasurer

Harry Platz, former Blairite, died at his home in Scottsbluff last Saturday, December 4th. Deceased was born in Omaha, but when a boy his parents moved to Blair. Here Harry was educated and graduated with the famous class of 1888.

After his graduation he taught school in the county for a number of years. In 1904 he was married to Amelia Morgensen of Spiker, and he purchased the Spiker store which he operated for a number of years. Selling the store he moved to Clay county where he ran for county treasurer and was elected. He served several terms and was a general favorite.

His health failed him, and he continued in poor health until his death last Saturday. At his death he was living in Scottsbluff.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Platz, two sons and a daughter. The two sons live at Hood River, Oregon and the daughter at Torrington, Wyoming.

Besides the wife and children mentioned, he leaves a brother, Dr. Chas. Platz of Casper, Wyoming and a sister, Mrs. Henry Christensen of Blair, all of whom mourn deeply his death. Funeral services were held Monday in Torrington, Wyoming.
