MRS. LENA KLINDT RITES NOV. 27TH

Mrs. Lena Klindt, formerly a resident of this county, died Nov. 20 in the Providence Hospital at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan,Canada.

Deceased was born in Germany on March 6, 1863, and came to this country as a young girl with her parents and settled near Calhoun. She was married to William Klindt on Sept. 21, 1881, and they immediately began farming southwest of Calhoun.

In 1889 they moved to Battle Creek, Nebr. and later to Osmond and then to South Dakota and in 1913 to Readlyn in Saskatchewan.

Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Klindt, six of whom are living. The husband died in 1928 and the last few years she has lived with a daughter in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

The body was brought back to her old home in Ft. Calhoun for burial, and services were held in the Presbyterian church in Calhoun Saturday, November 27, and interment was made in the Calhoun cemetery.
