JAMES W. SELDEN DIES SUDDENLY

Former Blair Man Died of Heart Attack in Office

James W. Selden, who was reared and received his early education in Blair, was found dead in his office at Tacoma, Washington. The cause of his death is attributed to a sudden heart attack.

Deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Selden, former owner and editor of the Pilot in Blair. Jim, as we all knew him, was born in this county on Feb. 2, 1812. He attended the Blair High School and was for a time editor of the Herman Record.

He was admitted to the bar, and after his admittance he was married in Omaha and went to Montana where he practiced law for some years, and then moved to Tacoma, Washington where he continued his practice of law.

He has one sister living, Mrs. L A. Williams of California, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Harnack of California, and one grandchild.

In his earlier days Jim was a favorite among his classmates and was a bright, upstanding young man, He made good in his profession as was proved by many responsible positions which he held.

No news of his funeral has as yet come to his relatives in this city.
