James G. Jacobsen, 75, of Blair, died May 13, 2002, at his home in Blair. Pastor Harun Gatabu officiated at a private graveside service June 4.

James Gustav Jacobsen was born Jan. 7, 1927. He was adopted as an infant and raised by Andrew and Laura Jacobsen of Tekamah. He was baptized and became a member of Riverside Baptist Church at the age of 10. He received his early education at the Evergreen District No. 70 School, located north of Tekamah.

He spent his life after 1943 living and working at various jobs in Kansas, and working for local farmers in Nebraska. He had lived in Blair for the past several years.

He is survived by his sons, David Lee and James Guston Jacobsen, a sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Elmer Tippery, two nieces and a nephew.
