W. L. SCHEER RITES NOV. 13TH

W. L. Scheer, prominent Washington County farmer died at his home in Fremont November 10th after an illness of three months.

He was born in Port Hudson, Missouri on December 17, 1879, and was married to Carolina Hilgenkamp of Arlington on February 26, 1907. She preceded him in death October 17, 1934. To Mr. and Mrs. Scheer six children were born, four of whom are living: Gilbert, Mrs. Ed Gnuse, Mrs. Clarence Hilgenkamp and Mrs. Elmer Westerman.

On January 1, 1936 he married Mathilda Rothe of Freeman, South Dakota and in 1937 he retired from the farm and moved to Fremont.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, November 13th at 1:30 and at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church in Fremont, and interment was made in the St. Paul Lutheran church cemetery north of Arlington. The wife and four children and a number of other relatives and friends mourn deeply his death.
