MRS. SAPPENFIELD BURIED SUNDAY

Mrs. Arminta Sappenfield died last Friday morning as the result of a stroke. She had been in failing health for the past two years, and on Friday, October 15th, she suffered a stroke which in a few days was followed by a second stroke.

Deceased was born in Missouri on January 7, 1875. With her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gearhardt, she came to Blair when a small child. She attended the Blair schools and on June 26th, 1895 she was married to Harry Sappenfield.

To this union eight children survive: Mrs. Chris Wrich of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. H. C. Williams of Boise, Idaho; Mrs. George Hindley of Herman; Mr. Walter Sappenfield of Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. A. E. Perkins of Fairhill, Idaho; Mrs. L. D. Sweet of Hillsdale, Wyoming; Clyde Sappenfield of Blair; and Clarence of Denver, Colorado. The husband died in 1940.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church last Sunday at 2 p.m. with all of the children present except one daughter, Mrs. A. E. Perkins whose health would not permit. Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiated, and interment under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Sappenfield was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, and was also a member of W.R.C. and the Order of the Eastern Star. In all of these she did her duties conscientiously and her entire life was one lived on a high moral plane.
