MRS. DOLLY STRONG RITES OCTOBER 18

Mrs. Dolly Strong of Dallas, Texas, was buried in Blair on October 18th with C. K. Bendorf, undertaker in charge, and Rev. D. D. Kennedy delivering the funeral oration.

Deceased was a native of Blair, the sister of the late Freeman Tucker. The last days or months of this family read like a real tragedy. Following the death of the brother, Mr. Strong died April 9, 1948 at Dallas of asthma.

A sister, Mrs. Hulda Little of Chicago, when she heard of the death of Mr. Strong went to her sister’s aid in Dallas. While there she died suddenly of a heart attack. The husband, Mr. Chris Little and Mrs. Strong accompanied the body to Blair for burial in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Strong went on to Chicago to be under the care of a family doctor. On July 13th she fell and broke her leg and was taken to the hospital. Cancer of the bone set in and she passed on after thirteen weeks of suffering, and her niece, Billie Murray, accompanied the body here for burial.

Deceased was born in Blair on July 27, 1881. She leaves to mourn her one sister-in-law, Mrs. Freeman Tucker of Omaha, and three nieces and several cousins and a host of friends.
