FORMER BLAIRITE BURIED IN TEKAMAH

In failing health for several years, Mrs. Mary Weber passed away at her home in Tekamah August 24th at the age of 76.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 27th at the Methodist Church in Tekamah, the Rev. E. G. Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Herman cemetery. Her six sons were pallbearers.

Mary Christina Petersen was born in Denmark Dec. 3rd, 1871. At the age of eight she came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lars Petersen, settling on a farm near Spiker.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On Nov. 13th, 1888 she was united in marriage to John G. Weber. They moved to a farm near Rogers, Nebraska where they resided until 1900 when they came to their home near Herman. In 1924 they retired, moving to Blair, where Mr. Weber passed away on July 12, 1925. Several years later Mrs. Weber returned to Burt County to make her home with her son, Joe.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Chris and John.

She leaves to mourn her death six sons: Joe and Emil of Tekamah, Pete of Woodbury, Ia., Lars of Omaha, Julius and Theodore of Herman. Four daughters: Mrs. J. B. Eriksen (Emma) of Herman, Mrs. Aaron Barker (Marguerite) of Tekamah and Mrs. Byron Bartling (Mattie) of Oakland. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. John Weber, Los Angeles, Calif., twenty grandchildren, Five great grandchildren, one brother, J. P. Petersen of Plattesmouth and a sister, Mrs. Charles Rogert of Blair.
