MRS. NELLIE STEFFEN RITES TODAY

Mrs. Nellie Steffen died in the Douglas County Hospital last Monday afternoon after a prolonged illness.

She was born in the vicinity of Irvington in 1890 where she resided for several years.

She married Julius Steffen and for years they farmed down at DeSoto. One son, Fred, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Steffen. The husband died about ten years ago and the boy, now fifteen years of age, is the only relative of the immediate family.

One brother, Eugene David, remains as do three sisters: Mrs. Wm. Seltzer of DeSoto, Mrs. Ollie Jones of Emerson, Nebraska and Mrs. Elna Timperly of Huron, South Dakota.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. McKinley officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
