MYRON O. DAVIS DIED SUDDENLY EARLY WEDNESDAY

Well Known Business Man Died of Throat Ailment

Myron O. Davis, well known stock buyer of Blair, died at his home on East Washington street on Wednesday at 7 a.m. The contributing cause was cancer of the throat.

Deceased had been in poor health for over a year, and for the past eight months had been seriously ill.

He was born in Audubon, Iowa May 22, 1896, and on Sept 17, 1919 was married to Miss Mary Nelson at Carroll, Iowa, and to them two children were born, Mrs. Jack Kuhr of Omaha and Don of Denver. These, with the wife, mourn his passing.

Besides the immediate family, he leaves two grandchildren and four brothers: Ralph, Marshall and Ray of Audubon, Iowa and Charles of Glendale, California.

Mr. Davis was a farmer at Audubon, Iowa before moving to Blair in 1934 when he opened up a Gamble Store here. Later he entered the livestock buying business and in 1946 he leased the sales pavilion at Blair, but sold within a few months on account of his health.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church in Audubon and of the Masonic Order. He belonged to the Legion at Blair and was a World War I veteran.

As yet no date has been set for the funeral pending the arrival of relatives from a distance.
