LAST RITES FOR MRS. SUVERKRUBBE

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Suverkrubbe of Bennington, who died August 18 at the age of 59 years, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bennington, with Rev. R. R. Syre officiating. Interment was made in German Cemetery.

Emma Suverkrubbe was the daughter of William and Anna Markmann, and was born near Bennington Jan. 20, 1889. She lived in the Bennington vicinity until her marriage to Henry Suverkrubbe on January 17, 1912.

The couple then moved to a farm in Washington County where she resided until her sudden illness on August 2nd of this year. She passed away at the Lutheran Hospital Aug. 18th at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 28 days.

Mrs. Suverkrubbe was a member of the Ladies Aid of the Lutheran church of Bennington and the Eastern Star Owaissa Chapter of Florence.

Surviving are her husband, Henry; one daughter, Mrs. Louis Kahnk, Irvington; one son, Russell, Bennington; three grandchildren, Bruce and Susan Suverkrubbe and Lyle Kahnk; her father, William Markmann, Bennington; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Petersen, Mrs. John Vogt and Mrs. Elmer Olson; three brothers, Bill, Ed and Fred Markmann, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
