MRS. JOHN SUTHERLAND BURIED SAT.

Mrs. John Sutherland, 84 years of age, died last Thursday, August 5th, and funeral rites were held Saturday from the Campbell Mortuary on Thursday afternoon, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Sutherland was born in England and came to this country in her early years. She was a resident of the Orum vicinity for a number of years.

SUTHERLAND FUNERAL HELD

MRS. EMILY SUTHERLAND, 82, DIED THURSDAY; RITES HELD SATURDAY

Mrs. Emily Sutherland, 82, of 311 West Washington St., died last Thursday at Blair Hospital after an illness of several months. She was the widow of John Sutherland, whom she married in 1919 and who died in 1938.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Campbell’s Mortuary. The Rev. D. D. Kennedy of First Baptist Church officiated, burial following in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutherland, as Emily Garrett, was born in England May 13, 1864. After Mr. Sutherland’s death, she kept house for her brother, George Garrett, until his death.

There are no immediate surviving relatives.
