LUDWIG JENSEN BURIED TUESDAY

Early Settler And Native Of Washington County

Ludwig Jensen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jensen, was born in the Rose Hill community on Nov. 4, 1875 and died July 19, 1948.

Deceased was reared in this county and was educated in the rural schools. On February 18, 1903 he was married to Matilda Fuess. Two children were born to them. They were farmers and their life was spent on a farm where about ten years ago the wife died.

He was a man of integrity and of kindly, friendly temperament, and he was devoted to his family.

Those left to mourn his passing are his two daughters, Mrs. Weston Long, Blair and Mrs. Merritt Cook of Nemcha, Iowa and six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also one brother, Clarence of Fremont and four sisters, Mrs. Laura Tofte, Mrs. Mertie Sappenfield, Mrs. Hannah Ryan and Mrs. Carl Pieper all of Blair.

Funeral rites were held at the First Lutheran church at 2 p.m., July 21, with Rev. Jorgensen officiating, and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Blair cemetery.
