MRS. HELEN PHELPS RITES THURSDAY

Mrs. Helen Phelps, formerly of Blair, died in Fremont last Monday, March 29th, at the Lutheran Old People’s Home. Mrs. Phelps, as Helen Haudbine, was born in Paris, France on March 14th, 1859, and with her parents came to America in 1860.

The family first settled in St. Louis, Illinois, and later moved to this county, settling in DeSoto, and later moved to Blair.

In June, 1893 she was married to T. G. Phelps, and to them four children were born, two died in infancy. Those left to mourn her passing are Mrs. Alfred Feer of Blair and Mrs. Helen Robinson of Alderwood Manor, Washington, besides a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The husband died in 1930.

Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating, and interment will be in the Blair cemetery.
