LOUIS FUCHS RITES JANUARY 14th

Louis Fuchs, retired Washington county farmer, died at his home in Telbasta Saturday evening, January 10, following an illness of four months.

Services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of his son Rudolph, north of Arlington, and at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church north of Arlington. Rev. Carl Hellman was the pastor in charge, and interment was made in St. Paul’s Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ernest Liestner of Middletown, Ill.; Adolph Herring, Arthur Wittman, Lavern Busch of Arlington; Hugo Hoegermeyer of Hooper; and Clarence Wittman of Fremont.

The 79 year old man was born November 15, 1868 in Spencer county, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Fuchs. He was married to Sophia Wittman May 1, 1905 at Evanston, Ind., and they lived in Spencer county until 1928 when they came to Washington county.

Surviving besides his widow are four daughters: Mrs. Wesley Graulich of Herman; Mrs. Geo. Bloemker of Nickerson; Mrs. Edward W. Stork and Mrs. Elmer Stork, both of Arlington; two sons, Oswald and Rudolph, both of Arlington; 18 grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Geo. Leistener of Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. Jacob Lang and Mrs. Augusta McMichel, both of Newark, N.J.; and a brother, Fred Fuchs of Sedalia, Mo. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
