George T.J. Voss was born on June 23, 1893 at Blair, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. George Voss.

He was united in marriage to Bertha Wiese September 30, 1914 at Blair. They farmed south of Cavour, South Dakota, until their retirement in 1959 when they moved to De Smet. They lived at De Smet Prairie Park until April 1974, at which time they moved to Kingsbury Manor in Lake Preston.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Bertha, of Lake Preston; one daughter, Mrs. Lionel (Frances) Anderson of De Smet; three grandchildren, Dale and Karla Anderson of Huron; two great-grandchildren, Bret and Nicole of De Smet; one daughter-in-law, Thelma Voss of Huron; one brother, Louie Voss of Blair, Nebraska; and one sister, Mrs. Theresa Wiese of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
