Mrs. Joel Allen Dies

BLAIR WOMAN DIES AT HOME WEDNESDAY; RITES AT CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Mrs. Joel Allen, 69, long a Blair resident, died last Wednesday night at the family home, 503 Davis Avenue.

The body was removed to the Campbell Mortuary. The funeral was held at the Christian Church Sunday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Ralph Kersey officiating, and interment followed in Blair Cemetery.

Zora Taylor Brunton, daughter of Zachary and Mary Brunton, was born Sept. 19, 1883, in Blair.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Wilford Allen of Blair, Gilford Allen of Las Vegas, Nev., and David Allen of Daly City, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Lorion Jones (Mary) of Blair, Mrs. C. N. Williamson (Abigail) of Lamont, Calif., and Mrs. Harold McPherson (Vanola) of San Francisco. Her eldest son, Joel, of Lincoln, Calif., preceded her in death.

Also surviving are five step-children, 41 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gladys McConnel of Port Orchard, Wash.; and a brother, Palmer Brunton, of Santa Cruz, Calif., in addition to a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
