MRS. LLOYD JOHNSON

Mrs. Lloyd Johnson, for the past five years a resident of the Dexterville section of Blair, passed away in her home on Tuesday morning, August 22, after having been critically ill for the past couple of months. Christine Alback, her maiden name, was born on February 15, 1899 in Douglas County, and was united in marriage with Lloyd Johnson on October 29, 1919. They made their home on a farm near Herman until 1945 when they moved to Blair where they have since resided.

The Johnsons became the parents of two children, Ellen (Mrs. Merle Ward) and Arlene (Mrs Russell Ward), both of Herman. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband and the two daughters, also eight grandchildren, two brothers, Andrew Alback of Herman and Chris Alback of Omaha, and by one sister, Mrs. Fred Brown of Omaha.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24, in First Lutheran Church, and interment will be in Blair cemetery, with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen in charge of the service, and Campbell Mortuary in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Lloyd Johnson, a resident of the Herman vicinity since 1919, died at her home in Blair, where they had lived the past five years. She was 51 years old.
