The funeral of J. M. Bilyu from the U. B. church occurred yesterday. Mr. Bilyu was 64 years of age and had resided in Blair about seventeen years. He had an honorable army record but was not a member of the G. A. R. His death was caused by paralysis of which he has had three strokes or separate attack. A goodly concourse of friends and relatives followed his remains to the Blair cemetery.

John M. Bilyue passed away at 2:30 Tuesday morning with paralysis. Funeral services were conducted from the house of Elder Whitman, pastor of Latter Day Saints Church of Omaha of which the deceased was a member. Age 63.

Two years ago Mr. Bilyue was stricken with paralysis, from this he never fully recovered and about two weeks ago received another stroke. Monday night the third stroke made him unconscious and at 2:30 Tuesday morning he succumbed to the dread destroyer.

Mr. Bilyue was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, and has been a resident of the state for eighteen years; and for the past two years has been living with his son, Markus Bilyue, on east Washington Street.
