DAN A. PHILLIPS RITES FRIDAY

Daniel A. Phillips, who died December 17 at his home in Independence, Missouri, was born in Blair on February 28, 1876 and was thus past 64 years of age at his death.

He was married to Rosella M. McEvers in Blair on March 4th, 1900. They adopted a daughter, Mrs. W. R. Crull, who with the wife remains to grieve his death. Besides his immediate family he leaves two sisters, Mrs. May Ireland and Mrs. Odena Osborne of Los Angeles, California and two nieces, Mrs. J. M. Burcham and Mrs. Frank Stricklett of Blair.

The funeral services were held in Blair last Friday, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.

Deceased was a Spanish American War veteran, having enlisted with Co. E. of the 3rd Nebraska regiment and served through the entire war.

The pallbearers were his comrades in arms.
