Henry A. Springgate, Sr., 87 years, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Premier Estates in Kennesaw, NE. He was born February 16, 1933 in Fremont, NE to Owen and Lena (Meador) Springgate.

He grew up in Fremont and resided in Arlington, Cedar Bluffs, Irvington, KY and Kennesaw, NE. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War.

Henry married B. Joan Mikan on August 9, 1954 in Fremont. He worked as a construction worker for Carlstrom Bros. Construction and Daubert Construction.

Henry was a member of the Eagles Club and a past member of First Baptist Church. Henry enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his son, Henry “Butch” Springgate, JR of Fremont, NE; daughter, Jorjann Pitoriak of Chatsworth, CA; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son; 12 brothers and sisters.
