FRED RAMSER, 88, DIES AT FARM NEAR DALE

Had Lived in This State Since 1882. Burial in Elk City Cemetery

Fred Ramser, 88 year old farmer of the Dale vicinity near Arlington, passed away on August 16, following a brief illness. Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Elk City Methodist church of which he was a member, and burial was made in the Elk City cemetery. Pallbearers were Julian Jungbluth, Morton Sounds, John Crink, William Peters, Fred Jungbluth and Max Royuk; honorary pallbearers were Fred Christensen, Gus Paulsen, Roy Decker, Manville Grover, Jr., Frank Glisten and Walker Brown.

Born in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland on March 7, 1852, Mr. Ramser came to this country with his parents at the age of sev- (something missing here) Arlene Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Wil- (something missing) He lived there until 1882 when he came to Nebraska to establish residence at the farm in the southern part of Washington county where he continued to live until his death.

On October 8, 1885 he was united in marriage to Hattie Murley in Blair, and to them five children were born, two preceding him in death.

Surviving are Mrs. Ramser; a daughter, Bertha at home; two sons, William and George of Lead, South Dakota; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister in Oregon.
