FRANCIS EDWARD PYLES

Francis Edward Pyles, well known in this county, born October 31, 1869, and at the age of ten years came with his parents to Nebraska where for the past sixty one years he has made his home.

On September 30th, 1903 he was married to Miss Leah Slabeck who preceded him in death sixteen years ago. He leaves to mourn him an only daughter, Mrs. Walter Gustin of Fort Calhoun and two grandsons; also four sisters, Mrs. Lyda Petersen of White River, South Dakota; Mrs. Nancy Giltner of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Mary Harper of Herman, Nebraska; and Mrs. Vena Baker of Blair; and one brother, Henry of Arlington.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary June 1st at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
