MRS. F. O. SWANSON, 72, OF HERMAN BURIED FRIDAY

Funeral rites were conducted at 2:00 o’clock Friday, April 5, at the Methodist church by Rev. A. W. Clarke for Mrs. F. O. Swanson, 72 year old Herman resident who died in Omaha on April 2. Music was furnished by Mrs. Harley Rogert, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Fred Robertson and L. D. Long, with Mrs. H. C. Hansen at the piano. Interment was made in the Herman cemetery.

As Anna Caroline Nelson, Mrs. Swanson was born at Stenstrop, Sweden on July 21, 1867. She was baptized and confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church in Sweden. At the age of twenty she came to the United States, living with relatives in Lincoln until her marriage to Frank O. Swanson on November 27, 1897. She had resided in Herman over since.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alma Pearson of Sweden and Mrs. Esther Nordquist of Minneapolis; four brothers, Emil Nelson of Princeton, Illinois and Ernest, Verner and Albin in Sweden. One brother, Charles Nelson of Barronette, Wisconsin died the day following Mrs. Swanson’s passing.

Mrs. Swanson had been an active worker in the Methodist Ladies Aid for many years and she will be missed by her co-workers as well as by her many friends.
