CHRIS STABEN DIES APRIL 8TH

Chris Staben, a lifetime resident of the Fort Calhoun vicinity, died at his home in Fort Calhoun on April 8th after a lingering illness. He was born October 28, 1880.

On March 10, 1909 he was married to Elizabeth K. M. Schultz of this county, and with the widow, three children, Otto and Arthur and Mrs. Max Jipp, and two grandchildren, Marilyn and Lee Jipp, all of Fort Calhoun, survive.

Chris was a successful farmer and several years ago retired making his home in Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. James Roman in charge, and interment was made in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.
