DIES IN SKATING ACCIDENT

Hermanites were shocked this week to learn of the death of Earl Ray, former resident, who lost his life in a skating accident on January 18 near his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The second eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ray, Earl Ralph Ray was born in Herman on October 2, 1920. He attended the Kennard and Herman schools, and in January of 1939 left for Klamath Falls in search of employment.

He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Margaret and Nina Bell; five brothers, Arthur, Lyle, Dale, Lee and Bobby Joe, and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted in Herman by Rev. A. W. Clark, Methodist pastor, on Wednesday afternoon, and interment was made in Tekamah cemetery.
