MISS ALICE MEADE DIES IN EAST

Word was received early this week of the death of Miss Alice Meade, former Arlington resident who had for some years resided in Washington, D.C.

Miss Meade, a dressmaker by profession, came to Arlington in 1881, making her home with Mr. and Mrs. N. W Preston, she later made her home with the Prestons in Fremont when Mr. Preston was a member of the Midland college faculty. Until recent years Miss Meade had been a frequent visitor in Arlington at the homes of Mrs. Fred DeWeber and Mrs. J. F. Laaker.
