#1 SERVICES HELD FOR LEONARD (DICK) NELSON

Funeral services were Wednesday, April 20, at Arlington Community Church for Leonard (Dick) Nelson, 73, of Arlington who died April 15, 1983 in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County after a one-week illness.

The Rev. Dr. Gene Laramy officiated. Burial was in Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

Leonard Nelson was born November 10, 1909 in Orum to Richard and Anna Rasmussen Nelson and spent his life in Washington County. He married Evelyn Katt on February 19, 1933 in Hooper.

He was a lifetime member of the Arlington Fire Department. He attended the Arlington Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Richard Kingry.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn, Arlington; a son, Larry Nelson of Arlington; and a daughter, Mrs. Everett (Arlene) Kingry of Fremont. Three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Leona) Jensen of Blair, Mrs. Jerry (Evelyn) McCarthyof Bakersfield, California; and Mrs. Floyd (Viola) Hinz of Blair; seven grandsons, and three great-grandsons also survive him.

Active pallbearers were his seven grandsons: Jeff Nelson, Bryan Nelson, Rocky Nelson, Shawn Nelson, Randal Kingry, Scott Kingry and Michael Kingry.

Honorary pallbearers were Glen Giesselman, Earl Nelson, Richard Melvard, Leslie French, LaVerne Clarkson and Russ Nelson.

Mrs. Alvin Voss was organist. Mr. Melvin Misfeldt was soloist.

Memorials may be made to the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad or Arlington Community Church.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements for the services.

#2 DICK NELSON TO BE BURIED

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Arlington Community Church for Leonard (Dick) Nelson, 73, who died April 15, 1983 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont after a week’s illness.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.
