CHAS. BLANCHARD RITES DEC. 16TH.

Chas. H. Blanchard of Herman was born in Arlington on May 27th, 1870, and grew to manhood in the vicinity of Elk City. He was united in marriage to Hattie Ann Gaines on February 11, 1894, who died January 27, 1946.

They moved to Herman in 1906 where he was in business for a number of years and then retired to his farm.

Surviving him are his nephew, Aubrey Gaines of Herman and a niece, Mrs. Leneah Gaines Nelson of Flint, Michigan, who were reared from childhood in the Blanchard home. Also one sister, Mrs. Maud Gray of Omaha and a niece, Margaret Gray of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Herman Methodist church under the auspices of the Truhlsen Funeral Home, and interment was made in the Elk City cemetery.

Deceased was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic and the O.E.S. Chapters in Herman.
