ALLIE McKINNEY RITES SUNDAY (McKenney)

Allie McKinney, 69, lifetime resident of the vicinity just north of Blair, died November 5th at the Blair hospital, and funeral services were held at the Campbell mortuary Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.

Mr. McKinney was the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. McKinney, Blair pioneers, and had farmed all his life. He was a great lover of hunting and fishing. He had been ailing the past year, but his condition became serious in the last week. He was never married.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Olive Hudleson and Miss Celia McKinney, both of Blair; three nieces, Mrs. T. A. Bohs of Blair, Mrs. J. M. Day of Lingle, Wyoming, and Mrs. Carl Bolt of Schuyler; two nephews, Lee Hudleson of Lincoln and Lyle Dexter of Omaha. The pallbearers were neighbors and friends: Stanley Jensen, James Hansen, Joe Fryman, Jr., Hannus Grimm, Philip Craig and Roy Peak. Mrs. James Hansen, close neighbor, sang two sons “In the Isle of Somewhere” and “Rock of Ages”. Rev. Kennedy, Baptist minister, officiated.

Those from our of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Day of Lingle, Wyoming; Mrs. Lee Hudleson of Lincoln, Mrs. and Mrs. Lyle Dexter of Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gilliland of Tekamah.

SON OF PIONEERS, ALLIE McKINNEY LIVED NEAR BLAIR ALL HIS LIFE

Allie McKinney, 69, lifetime resident of the vicinity just northwest of Blair, died last night at Blair Hospital. He had been seriously ill the past week.

Funeral services are to be held at the Campbell Mortuary Sunday at 2 p.m., burial to follow in Blair Cemetery.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. M.M. McKinney, Blair pioneers, he had farmed all his life.

Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Olive Hudleson and Miss Celia McKinney, both of Blair; three nieces, Mrs. T.A. Bohs of Blair, Mrs. J.M. Day of Lingle, Wyo., and Mrs. Blanche Bolt of Schuyler; and two nephews, Lee Hudleson of Lincoln and Lyle Dexter of Omaha.
